Lasagna
Ingredients
- A good Bolognese. If you have your own recipe, great! If not, try my Bolognese
- 1 pack Lasagna noodles/sheets – wet or dry
- Bechamel
- grated Parmesan
- Mozzarella (optional)
Bechamel Ingredients
- 4 tblsp plain flour
- 1L milk
- Nutmeg
Bechamel Instructions:
Heat milk until almost boiling, then sift in flour while whisking milk briskly, still on heat. At some white pepper, salt and nutmeg to season. Continue whisking briskly on heat until mixture thickens and becomes smooth.
Lasagna Instructions:
If you have dried Lasagna noodles/sheets, soak them in boiling water for 10-15 minutes.
Layer bottom of Lasagna dish (or any suitable dish) with 1cm of bolognese. Cover with Lasagna noodles.
On top of that, a layer of Bechamel, with a light sprinkle of grated Parmesan.
Optional: Cover with a layer of mozzarella slices. If no mozzarella, no worries.
Repeat until desired height/out of ingredients, ending with a layer of Bechamel on top.
Sprinkle liberally with Parmesan cheese, cover with tin foil and let sit in fridge for a day.
Before cooking, remove from fridge and let sit for 1 hour at room temperature.
In a preheated oven (190C), bake with foil on for 25 minutes, remove foil and bake another 25 minutes. Grill as needed to brown the top.
