Yo-Yo’s
Ingredients
- ¾ cup self raising flour
- ½ custard powder
- 3 tbsp icing sugar
- ½ cup butter
Butter Icing
- 6 tbsp icing sugar
- 3 tbsp butter
- Vanilla essence or grated orange peel for flavour.
Instructions
Line a tray with baking paper. Preheat oven to 180C (160C fan forced).
Sift flour, custard powder and sugar into bowl. Rub in butter, work to a firm dough. Roll into small balls, place onto tray. Using a fork, flatten slightly. Bake for 15 minutes or until pale golden. When cold, join with butter icing.
Butter Icing
Cream together icing sugar and butter, add vanilla essence or grated orange rind to flavour.
